Introducing Miriam Lein
Welcome to all new and old readers. If you are a new reader, please check out my About page for more details of who I am.
I recently made a commitment to devote two full afternoons a month to writing. It may not sound like much, but in the midst of my very busy life, it honestly feels like a luxury. Of course, the habit of writing tends to bleed into the leftover spaces of my life once I start being more intentional, so I’m hopeful to accomplish more than just these few hours will allow me to.
One of the first projects I’ve tackled is to set up this new blog site. While the posts are all here from my previous site, I’ve updated my logo and name. I don’t want to just write, but I’d actually like to BE a writer, so I’ve put my name forefront to lean into that a bit. I wrestled a lot with whether or not to migrate the content from And Then There Was Joy or to start fresh. I ended up migrating it, but I will be going through old posts and retiring some and adding disclaimers and context to others. A lot of what I’ve written contains views and a belief system that I no longer ascribe to, so I want to be mindful of how I deal with that content as I move forward. It will take me awhile to figure out, but for now, the posts are all here.
While I fully intend to publish lots of new content here (I’m working on a couple short book reviews that should go live this week), I am also working on another project that I hope to actually publish in book form. It’s a big goal, but one that I’ve dreamed about for awhile and have decided that it is finally time to purposefully pursue. I’m currently ironing out my theme, so if you happen to be a fan of my writing, I’d love to hear your ideas of what you’d like to see more of.
